Zuzu, The Wonder Dog, is doing amazingly well... the pain meds knock her out (as you can see here - laying with her sis) but she's getting around a lot, she hung out in the snow for awhile today and is coming to life enough to bark at her friend the mailman.
Our oldest daughter returned to school today and was anxious for the "morning sharings" so she could tell her friends what had happened. I imagine it'll be therapeutic for her to talk about it with her peers (which range in age from 4 to 14).

there are certain time in life when we thank god for pain meds. good to see she is recovering and getting some much needed rest.

so good to hear that Zu is making progress. Before long she will be whizzing around in our yard with Sunny. Lots of prayers to you all...Gretchen, Mike, Madeline and Anna Grace.

yes, theraputic indeed. just last night i was telling my son 'i'm so glad you can tell me about these feelings" (he's almost three) as heartbreaking as it is, these are amazingly strong life skills in the making. kudos to you, momma.

Cute Photo! The mailman can always bring joy to people or in this case our pets! Glad she is feeling better! It is great seeing your post are more regular recently!

ZuZu looks very peaceful for having been through such a terrible thing. I know there is meds involved but she looks like she has a very loving group of people around her.

I am so sorry to hear about this, the only upside is that you still have her and she seems to be bouncing back.
