Our puppy, Zuzu, was hit by a car in front of our house last night. She will live but will lose one of her front legs. We are all devastated. I can't erase the image from my mind. I can't sleep. I miss her. I wish I could go back in time and change the course of our day... why did this have to happen to her?
we've all been sending Zu all the good vibes we can. She's got a tough few days/weeks/months ahead of her - thank goodness she has such a wonderful, loving and supportive family. Try to breathe easy today, everyone.

Poor Pup. What a sad day for your family. One of the dogs we see/play with on the beach is a Weimaraner who lost a front leg the same way. She's still pretty quick & very happy. Sending good thoughts.

Thank you, all, for your well wishes and love. I know time will heal. Its scary how one minute you can be having an amazing day and the next moment your world feels upside down.
Zuzu should be home tomorrow and we are all anxious to kiss her sweet bumble head and help her in her recovery.

oh my gosh, how sad, yet she is still here though, thank goodness. i always fear my dogs will get out, two are deaf so they don't come when you call them. so scary when they are loose out front. hoping you feel better soon, xoxoxo to zuzu.

I am so very sorry! We had a dog (just a puppy) get hit by a car (by a teenager) on what seemed to be a very sunny afternoon. Unfortunately, she didn't make it. That day was the most terrible day of my life. I can very much understand how your family must feel. Thankfully, your little pup will be o.k. - I *know* it! Take care...

Ohh Zuzu...I have loved your pictures for so long and especially of zuzu. I can't even imagine...I am so sorry this had to happen to her, but, she will live and has a great family behind her.
